Announcement concerning accomodation during NAJAKS 2013:

The conference will take place at Hotel Grand Terminus [1], located next to the railway station in the centre of the city. A limited number of rooms have been reserved at the hotel already, and we urge participants to book rooms well in advance. Until July 10th, 2013, rooms can be booked using this web service [2] (English). If you book directly at the hotel web page, remember to insert the group code NAJAKS2013.

Other recommended hotels in the city centre are: Citybox Bergen [3], Hotel Park Bergen [4] and Bergen Travel Hotel [5]. For participants on a low budget, we recommend Bergen YMCA Hostel [6]. To get from Flesland airport to the city centre, please use the airport shuttle bus “Flybussen [7]“. If you are staying at Hotel Grand Terminus, the closest stop is “Bystasjonen” (the city bus station), which is located next to the railway station.

Bergen is a major tourist attraction in Norway, and the conference is held in late summer. We therefore encourage all participants to secure accommodation as early as possible. For those who wish to visit the fjords and experience the spectacular nature of Western Norway, please consider taking the popular tour named Norway in a Nutshell [8]. A map of Bergen is available here [9].
